Xin Lu Ye, Qing Lin

TL;DR
This paper introduces a versatile module leveraging cross-Kerr nonlinearity for efficient, deterministic generation of entangled qudits of arbitrary dimension, even under photon loss, enabling flexible quantum information processing.
Contribution
It presents a novel, simple module for entangled qudit generation that works with arbitrary dimensions and can produce nonidentical entangled states deterministically.
Findings
Module enables entangled qudit generation with arbitrary dimensions.
Works effectively even when photons are lost.
Cascade use allows deterministic, nonidentical entangled qudits.
Abstract
In this paper, we provide a simple but powerful module to generate entangled qudits. This module assisted with cross-Kerr nonlinearity is available to the entangled qudits generation with arbitrary dimension, and it could work well even when the two independent qudits lose the same number of single photons. Moreover, with the cascade uses of modules, the deterministic generation but with nonidentical forms of entangled qudits is possible.
