TL;DR
This paper reports the first observations and measurements of specific B_s^0 decay modes, providing new data on their branching fractions and ratios, using LHCb data to improve understanding of heavy meson decays.
Contribution
First observations and precise measurements of branching fractions for several B_s^0 decay channels using LHCb data, including normalization and relative ratios to other B meson decays.
Findings
Observed B_s^0 decay modes with statistical significance.
Measured branching fraction ratios with uncertainties.
Provided improved measurements of related B meson decay branching fractions.
Abstract
First observations and measurements of the branching fractions of the , and decays are presented using 1.0 fb of data collected by the LHCb experiment. These branching fractions are normalized to those of , and , respectively. An excess of events consistent with the decay is also seen, and its branching fraction is measured relative to that of . Improved measurements of the branching fractions and are reported, each relative to . The ratios of branching fractions are {-0.2in} {center} {align*} {{\cal{B}}(\bar{B}_s^0\to D^+D^-)\over {\cal{B}}(\bar{B}^0\to D^+D^-)} &= 1.08\pm 0.20\pm0.10,…
