Compactified Horizontal Visibility Graph for the Language Network
D.V. Lande, A.A.Snarskii

TL;DR
This paper introduces a compactified horizontal visibility graph for language networks, revealing scale-free properties and identifying key words that influence both text communication and informational structure.
Contribution
It proposes a novel graph construction method for language networks that uncovers scale-free properties and key words affecting informational structure.
Findings
Networks are scale free.
High-degree nodes include words crucial for text and informational structure.
Method reveals key words influencing language network properties.
Abstract
A compactified horizontal visibility graph for the language network is proposed. It was found that the networks constructed in such way are scale free, and have a property that among the nodes with largest degrees there are words that determine not only a text structure communication, but also its informational structure.
