Charm mixing in the Standard Model: the inclusive approach
Markus Bobrowski

TL;DR
This paper reviews the Standard Model predictions for charm meson mixing and lifetimes, emphasizing the role of SU(3) breaking effects in D0 decay width differences.
Contribution
It provides an inclusive approach to understanding charm mixing within the Standard Model, highlighting the significance of SU(3) symmetry breaking effects.
Findings
SU(3) breaking dominates D0 decay width splitting
Standard Model predicts charm meson mixing rates
Inclusive approach clarifies hadron state effects
Abstract
The talk reviews the status of Standard Model predictions for lifetimes and mixing rates of charmed mesons. I discuss sources of SU(3) breaking in the hadron state affecting the Delta C = 2 Hamiltonian and argue that they are the dominant effect generating a D0 decay width splitting.
