Complete Glauber calculations of reaction and interaction cross sections in light ion collisions
I.S. Novikov, Yu. Shabelski

TL;DR
This paper performs detailed Glauber theory calculations to accurately determine reaction and interaction cross sections in relativistic light ion collisions, highlighting the importance of including all scattering diagrams for precision.
Contribution
It provides complete Glauber calculations including all scattering diagrams, improving the accuracy of cross section differences in light ion collisions.
Findings
Differences between reaction and interaction cross sections increase to 3-4% when all diagrams are included.
Optical approximation underestimates these differences, which are about 1%.
Complete calculations are essential for precise modeling of light ion collisions.
Abstract
We calculate the differences between reaction and interaction cross sections in the collisions of relativistic light ions with in the framework of Glauber theory. Although, in the optical approximation of Glauber theory these differences are approximately 1% of the reaction cross sections or less, they increase up to 3-4% when all scattering diagrams of Glauber theory are included in calculation.
