Low-mass dielectron measurement in pp and Pb--Pb collisions in ALICE
Markus K. Koehler (for the ALICE Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper presents the first dielectron measurements in proton-proton and lead-lead collisions at high energies using ALICE, comparing results to expected sources and discussing ongoing Pb--Pb analysis.
Contribution
It provides the initial dielectron measurement in pp collisions at 7 TeV with ALICE and discusses the status of Pb--Pb measurements at 2.76 TeV.
Findings
Hadronic cocktail matches dielectron continuum within uncertainties
First dielectron measurement in pp at 7 TeV by ALICE
Ongoing analysis of Pb--Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV
Abstract
We report on the first dielectron measurement in pp collisons at TeV with the ALICE detector system. The results are compared to the expected hadronic sources. The hadronic cocktail agrees to the measured dielectron continuum within statistical and systematic uncertainties. The status of the dielectron measurement in Pb--Pb collisions at {} TeV is addressed.
