Phase Effects in Two-Photon Free-Free Transitions in a Bichromatic Field of Frequencies $\omega$ and $3\omega$
Aurelia Cionga, Gabriela Zloh

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the relative phase in a bichromatic laser field affects free-free electron-hydrogen scattering, highlighting the importance of target dressing at low intensities and fast projectile speeds.
Contribution
It provides new insights into phase effects in two-photon free-free transitions within bichromatic fields, emphasizing target dressing effects at specific conditions.
Findings
Phase significantly influences scattering outcomes.
Target dressing plays a crucial role at low intensities.
Effects are prominent for fast projectiles.
Abstract
The effect of the relative phase between the components of a bichromatic field of frequencies and is discussed in the case of free-free transitions in laser-assisted electron-hydrogen scattering. For fast projectile and low field intensities, the role of target dressing is pointed out.
