Abril Su\'arez, Victor Robles, Tonatiuh Matos

TL;DR
This paper reviews the scalar field/Bose-Einstein condensate dark matter model, highlighting its key features, recent developments, and how it compares to the standard Lambda-CDM model in explaining cosmic phenomena.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of the SFDM/BEC model, including recent results and predictions that differentiate it from traditional dark matter models.
Findings
Highlights key achievements of the SFDM/BEC model
Presents recent results and predictions of the model
Compares SFDM/BEC with the standard Lambda-CDM model
Abstract
We review the work done so far aimed at modeling in an alternative way the dark matter in the Universe: the scalar field/ Bose-Einstein condensate dark matter (SFDM/BEC) model. We discuss a number of important achievements and characteristics of the model. We also describe some of our most recent results and predictions of the model compared to those of the standard model of CDM.
