Hadronic and radiative decays of the tau lepton
Pablo Roig

TL;DR
This thesis analyzes specific hadronic and radiative tau decays using a Chiral Lagrangian with resonance fields, providing detailed theoretical insights and new material on decay structures and invariant mass distributions.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive analysis of tau decay modes with a Chiral Lagrangian including resonance fields, and discusses new aspects like structure functions and invariant mass distributions.
Findings
Analysis of decay modes to three-pion, KKpi, and eta pi pi states
Study of differential decay widths based on two-particle invariant masses
Simplified eta-eta' mixing scheme for tau decays
Abstract
This PhD thesis studies some hadronic and radiative decays of the tau lepton using a Chiral Lagrangian including resonance fields. After a theoretical introduction, the decays to the , and hadronic states and are analysed. Some material, which was not included in the corresponding references, is also discussed: The structure functions analysis for the 3 pion modes, the differential decay width as a function of the two-particle invariant masses in the considered three-meson modes and a simplified study of the \eta^{(\prime)} \pi^- \pi^0 \nu_tau\eta\eta^\prime$ mesons.
