Dynamical kurtosis of net and total proton distributions in STAR at RHIC
Zhiming Li (for the STAR Collaboration)

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the dynamical kurtosis of net-proton and total-proton distributions varies with collision energy and centrality in Au+Au collisions at RHIC, providing insights into the underlying physics.
Contribution
It presents the first systematic study of energy and centrality dependence of dynamical kurtosis for net- and total-protons at RHIC energies, comparing experimental data with model calculations.
Findings
Dynamical kurtosis varies with collision energy and centrality.
Differences observed between net-proton and total-proton kurtosis.
Comparison with AMPT model highlights model's effectiveness.
Abstract
We report the energy and centrality dependence of dynamical kurtosis for Au + Au collisions at = 7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 62.4 and 200 GeV at RHIC. The dynamical kurtosis of net-proton is compared to that of total-proton. The results are also compared with AMPT model calculations.
