On novel string theories from 4d gauge theories
Elias Kiritsis

TL;DR
This paper explores the possibility of new string theories derived from four-dimensional gauge theories, suggesting they can exist up to 26 dimensions and may include weakly curved geometries.
Contribution
It introduces the concept of novel string theories emerging from 4d gauge theories, expanding the landscape of string theory models.
Findings
Existence of new string theories up to 26 dimensions.
Some of these theories support weakly curved geometries.
Proposes a connection between 4d gauge theories and string theories.
Abstract
We investigate strings theories as defined from four dimensional gauge theories. It is argued that novel (super)string theories exist up to 26 dimensions. Some of them may support weakly curved geometries.
