Ales Cieply, Jaroslav Smejkal

TL;DR
This paper updates the $ar{K}N$ interaction model using recent SIDDHARTA data, analyzing its effects on in-medium amplitudes crucial for kaon-nuclear physics applications.
Contribution
It presents new fits of a chiral coupled-channels model incorporating SIDDHARTA data, showing consistency with previous models and emphasizing the importance of subthreshold amplitudes.
Findings
Model fits align with earlier results despite new data.
Subthreshold energy dependence significantly impacts in-medium $ar{K}N$ amplitudes.
Updated amplitudes are consistent with previous measurements.
Abstract
We have performed new fits of our chirally motivated coupled--channels model for meson-baryon interactions and discussed the impact of the SIDDHARTA measurement on the amplitudes in the free space and in nuclear medium. The kaon--nucleon amplitudes generated by the model are fully consistent with our earlier studies that used the older kaonic hydrogen data by the DEAR collaboration. The subthreshold energy dependence of the in-medium amplitudes plays a crucial role in --nuclear applications.
