TL;DR
This paper investigates the structure of quark mass matrices using flavour permutation symmetry, analyzing different matrix textures for three and four family models to understand their implications in flavour physics.
Contribution
It introduces a symmetry-based approach to classify and analyze quark mass matrix textures for multiple family scenarios.
Findings
Identifies specific matrix textures consistent with flavour permutation symmetry.
Provides insights into possible mass matrix structures for three and four families.
Suggests symmetry constraints can guide the formulation of flavor models.
Abstract
The structure of flavour space is determined by the form of the quark mass matrices in the weak flavour space basis. We examine some matrix textures in the light of flavour permutations symmetry arguments, for three and four families.
