Reply to "Comment on Novel attractive forces between ions in quantum plasmas" [arXiv:1212.4286]
P. K. Shukla, B. Eliasson, M. Akbari-Moghanjoughi

TL;DR
This paper addresses a comment on previous work that discovered a novel attractive force between ions in quantum plasmas, clarifying the original findings and responding to critiques.
Contribution
It provides a detailed reply to a comment on the authors' earlier discovery of attractive forces between ions in dense quantum plasmas.
Findings
Clarifies the validity of the attractive force in quantum plasmas
Responds to critiques and defends the original results
Reaffirms the existence of ion-ion attractive interactions
Abstract
We are responding to the comment of Tyshetskiy and Vladimirov [arXiv:1212.4286] on a recently published paper by Shukla and Eliasson [arXiv:1112.5556], regarding the discovery of a novel attractive force on stationary test ion charges of the same sign shielded by degenerate electrons in a dense quantum plasma.
