CP violation in top-quark pair production and decay
German Valencia

TL;DR
This paper explores the potential for detecting new sources of CP violation in top-quark pair production and decay at the LHC, emphasizing T-odd correlations and their role in new physics searches.
Contribution
It introduces the use of T-odd triple product correlations as a tool for CP violation searches in top physics and discusses specific new physics scenarios that could induce observable effects.
Findings
T-odd triple product correlations can signal CP violation in top processes
New physics models can induce measurable CP-violating observables at the LHC
The approach enhances the sensitivity of CP violation searches in top-quark physics
Abstract
As the LHC becomes a top-quark factory and enters the era of precision measurements it presents us with a unique opportunity to search for new sources of CP violation. I discuss T-odd triple product correlations and the special role they play in the search for CP violation in top physics. I motivate the searches by discussing two examples of new physics that induce these CP violating observables at the LHC.
