TL;DR
This paper reviews the current state of Dark Matter searches, highlighting active experiments, conflicting results, and the potential for imminent discovery amid ongoing data collection.
Contribution
It provides an overview of the experimental landscape and discusses the controversy and prospects in Dark Matter detection efforts.
Findings
Some experiments report positive signals.
Other experiments set strong exclusion limits.
The field is highly active with potential near-term discoveries.
Abstract
I will review the present status of Dark Matter searches. The experimental scenario is presently very active and controversial, as some experiments do find positive signals, while others set strong limits. More data are needed, and a discovery may be very near.
