TL;DR
This paper reports a precise measurement of the inclusive semileptonic branching fraction of the $B_s^0$ meson using data from the Belle experiment, providing key insights into $B_s^0$ decay properties.
Contribution
First measurement of the inclusive semileptonic branching fraction of $B_s^0$ at Belle, using a novel method of reconstructing $D_s^+$ tags and same-sign leptons.
Findings
Branching fraction measured as 9.6% with uncertainties
Method effectively isolates $B_s^0$ semileptonic decays
Results improve understanding of $B_s^0$ decay dynamics
Abstract
We report a measurement of the inclusive semileptonic branching fraction in a data sample collected near the resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric energy collider. Events containing pairs are selected by reconstructing a tag side and identifying a signal side lepton () that is required to have the same-sign charge to ensure that both originate from different mesons. The branching fraction is extracted from the ratio of the measured yields of mesons and pairs and the known production and branching fractions. The inclusive semileptonic branching fraction is measured to be .
