Boundary conditions for matrix of variations in refractive waveguides with rough bottom
I. P. Smirnov

TL;DR
This paper derives boundary transformation rules for matrices of variations in refractive waveguides with rough bottoms, aiding the analysis of wave propagation in complex optical environments.
Contribution
It introduces new boundary condition formulas for matrices of variations in waveguides with rough bottoms, enhancing modeling accuracy.
Findings
Derived boundary transformation rules for matrices of variations.
Improved understanding of wave behavior at rough boundaries.
Facilitated more accurate optical waveguide simulations.
Abstract
The solution of the Helmholtz equation in optical semiclassic approximation is associated with the calculation of ray paths and matrices of variations. The transformation rules for elements of matrices on the boundaries of the waveguide are obtained.
