A singlet-triplet extension for the Higgs search at LEP and LHC
L. Basso, O. Fischer, J. J. van der Bij

TL;DR
This paper proposes a simple extension to the Standard Model with a scalar singlet and a triplet fermion, aiming to explain anomalies in Higgs decay signals observed at LEP2 and the LHC.
Contribution
It introduces a minimal model extension that accounts for Higgs decay enhancements and connects to fermion generation theories, including higher multiplet contributions.
Findings
Explains the potential enhancement in Higgs to gamma gamma decay.
Accounts for the excess in Higgs searches at LEP2.
Provides a framework linking Higgs anomalies to fermion generation theories.
Abstract
We describe a simple extension of the standard model, containing a scalar singlet and a triplet fermion. The model can explain the possible enhancement in the decay at the LHC together with the excess found in the Higgs boson search at LEP2. The structure of the model is motivated by a recent argument, that was used to explain the number of fermion generations. For the sake of completenes we also considered the contributions from higher multiplets.
