TL;DR
This paper reviews higher order perturbative QCD calculations and resummation techniques applied to hadronic tau decays and electron-positron annihilation, highlighting their theoretical structure and practical implications.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of the structure and resummation of perturbative series in QCD for tau decays and e+e- processes, including new insights into higher order effects.
Findings
Analysis of higher order perturbative series in QCD
Application of renormalization group resummation techniques
Illustrative examples with tau decays and e+e- annihilation
Abstract
We review some results obtained by us and others concerning the structure of higher order perturbation series in perturbative QCD and their resummation using the renormalization group equation. We illustrate our results by a number of examples involving hadronic \tau decays and e^+ e^- annihilation.
