$R_K$ and $K^+\rightarrow\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu} with NA62 at CERN SPS
Giuseppe Ruggiero

TL;DR
The NA62 experiment at CERN SPS has precisely measured the ratio R_K and aims to study the ultra-rare decay K+→π+νν̄ to test the Standard Model and explore new physics at high energy scales.
Contribution
This paper reports the most precise measurement of R_K and discusses the experiment's goal to observe rare K+→π+νν̄ decays for new physics searches.
Findings
R_K measurement agrees with Standard Model
NA62 aims to collect ~100 K+→π+νν̄ events
Background kept at 10% level
Abstract
Recent results a future prospects of the NA62 experiment at CERN SPS are presented. The NA62 experiment performed the most precise measurement of the ratio of the and K^+\rightarrow \mu^\pm\nuK^+\rightarrow\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu}K^+\rightarrow\pi^+\nu\bar{\nu}$ events in two years of data taking, keeping the background at the level of 10%.
