TL;DR
This paper explores mirror symmetry for Fano manifolds, demonstrating how mirror techniques can recover classifications of 3D Fano manifolds and proposing a program to classify 4D Fano manifolds.
Contribution
It introduces a method to classify Fano manifolds via mirror symmetry, extending from 3D to a proposed approach for 4D cases.
Findings
Classification of 3D Fano manifolds from mirror symmetry
A proposed program for 4D Fano manifold classification
Insights into mirror symmetry applications for Fano geometry
Abstract
We consider mirror symmetry for Fano manifolds, and describe how one can recover the classification of 3-dimensional Fano manifolds from the study of their mirrors. We sketch a program to classify 4-dimensional Fano manifolds using these ideas.
