Rajesh Gopakumar, Roji Pius

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a simple relation between planar correlators in a Gaussian matrix model and genus zero correlators in topological string theory on P^1, providing further evidence for their duality.
Contribution
It establishes a direct relation between matrix model correlators and topological string correlators, supporting the gauge-string duality conjecture.
Findings
Identifies a simple relation between correlators in the two theories
Provides additional evidence for the gauge-string duality
Connects matrix model results with topological string theory
Abstract
In this note we compare planar correlators such as in the Gaussian matrix model with corresponding genus zero correlators of the A-model topological string theory on . We find a simple relation between them which provides additional evidence for the duality between the two theories, as proposed in arXiv:1104.2386.
