Ivo de Medeiros Varzielas, Daniel Pidt

TL;DR
This paper explores UV completions of A4 flavor models, demonstrating how they enhance predictivity and allow for constraining or ruling out certain models based on experimental data, including theta_13.
Contribution
It constructs and compares minimal and next-to-minimal UV complete A4 flavor models, analyzing their compatibility with experimental data.
Findings
Some models are ruled out by data.
UV completions improve model predictivity.
Constraints on flavor models are established.
Abstract
The ultraviolet completion of flavour models can strongly improve the predictivity of the respective effective models. We consider models, existing minimal UV completions and construct several next-to-minimal UV complete models. We compare the results of these possibilities to the experimental data including . Through the predictive power of the UV completions, we are able to either rule out or constrain several minimal and next-to-minimal alternatives.
