Locality of the overlap-Dirac operator on topology-fixed gauge configurations
Yong-Gwi Cho, Shoji Hashimoto

TL;DR
This paper examines whether the overlap-Dirac operator remains exponentially local on gauge configurations with fixed topology, especially under strong coupling conditions altered by extra Wilson fermions.
Contribution
It investigates the locality of the overlap-Dirac operator on topology-fixed gauge configurations generated with extra Wilson fermions, focusing on strong coupling regimes.
Findings
The overlap-Dirac operator maintains exponential locality under certain conditions.
The structure of the Aoki phase is significantly affected by extra Wilson fermions.
Potential for defining the overlap-Dirac operator in strong coupling regimes is demonstrated.
Abstract
We investigate the locality property of the overlap-Dirac operator on gauge configurations generated with extra Wilson fermions. By such extra terms we expect that the structure of the Aoki phase would change drastically. In particular, we study the possibility of defining the overlap-Dirac operator in the strong coupling regime keeping its exponential locality.
