TL;DR
This study uses magneto-optical spectroscopy to verify the symmetry assignment of the top valence band in ZnO by examining the free A exciton state at low temperature.
Contribution
It provides experimental verification of the {a7}$_{7}$ symmetry assignment for the top valence band in ZnO using magneto-optical techniques.
Findings
Confirmed the {a7}$_{7}$ symmetry of the top valence band.
Demonstrated the effectiveness of magneto-photoluminescence in band symmetry studies.
Provided detailed analysis of the free A exciton state in ZnO.
Abstract
The circularly-polarized and angular-resolved magneto-photoluminescence spectroscopy was carried out to study the free A exciton 1S state in wurtzite ZnO at 5 K.
