TL;DR
This paper presents a 3+1D viscous hydrodynamical simulation of dilepton production in high energy heavy ion collisions, comparing results with experimental data to understand the underlying physics.
Contribution
It introduces a comprehensive 3+1D viscous hydrodynamical model to calculate dilepton yields and flow, providing new insights into relativistic heavy ion collision dynamics.
Findings
Dilepton yield and elliptic flow are successfully modeled.
Comparison with STAR data shows good agreement.
Highlights the importance of viscous effects in dilepton production.
Abstract
We present a first calculation of the dilepton yield and elliptic flow done with 3+1D viscous hydrodynamical simulations of relativistic heavy ion collisions at the top RHIC energy. A comparison with recent experimental data from the STAR collaboration is made.
