TL;DR
This paper details the life, observational contributions, and international connections of Indian amateur astronomer R. G. Chandra, highlighting his long-term involvement with AAVSO and various celestial observations.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive account of R. G. Chandra's observational work and his relationship with American astronomical societies, which was not previously documented.
Findings
Chandra observed various celestial phenomena including variable stars, novae, meteors, and Andromedae.
He maintained a three-decade relationship with AAVSO.
His responsibilities and recognitions in the astronomical community are discussed.
Abstract
In this Note, which is a sequel on the Indian amateur astronomer R.G. Chandra [Biswas2011a, Biswas2011b], we have presented some documents to reveal his three-decades relationship with the American Association for Variable Stars Observers and other connection to American astronomical societies. We have given a short account of his observations on different category, viz. (i) Variable stars, (ii) Nova, (iii) Meteors and (iv) Andromedae. His responsibilities and recognitions are also discussed.
