Study of rotation curves of spiral galaxies with a scalar field dark matter model
Mario A. Rodriguez-Meza

TL;DR
This paper investigates spiral galaxy rotation curves using a scalar-tensor gravity model to estimate dark matter parameters from observational data.
Contribution
It introduces a method to derive scalar field dark matter parameters from observed galaxy rotation curves within a scalar-tensor gravity framework.
Findings
Successful estimation of dark matter parameters from observed rotation curves
Demonstration of scalar-tensor theory applicability to galactic dynamics
Potential insights into alternative dark matter models
Abstract
In this work we study rotation curves of spiral galaxies using a model of dark matter based on a scalar-tensor theory of gravity. We show how to estimate the scalar field dark matter parameters using a sample of observed rotation curves.
