Contribution
It introduces anisotropic pressures into Lemaître-Tolman-Bondi models and constrains their parameters with observational data, a novel approach in this context.
Findings
Constraints on model parameters from supernova data
Evidence supporting anisotropic pressures in cosmological models
Potential implications for cosmic acceleration understanding
Abstract
We describe Lema\^{i}tre-Tolman-Bondi cosmological models where an anisotropic pressures is considered. By using recent astronomical observations coming from supernova of Ia types we constraint the values of the parameters that characterize our models.
