TL;DR
This paper reviews the latest theoretical calculations of the electron and muon g-factors within the Standard Model, highlighting recent advances in QED and hadronic light-by-light scattering contributions.
Contribution
It provides an updated overview emphasizing recent QED results and the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution to the muon anomaly.
Findings
Recent QED calculations refined the electron and muon g-factors.
Hadronic light-by-light scattering significantly impacts muon g-2 estimates.
Updated theoretical predictions improve agreement with experimental data.
Abstract
I give an overview of the different contributions to the electron and muon anomalous magnetic moments in the Standard Model. Special emphasis is given to recent QED results as well as to the hadronic light-by-light scattering contribution to the muon anomaly.
