Comment on "Optimal probe wave function of weak-value amplification"
A. Di Lorenzo

TL;DR
This paper critiques a previous work on weak-value amplification, clarifying misconceptions about the spectrum of confined particles and providing counter-examples to challenge prior conclusions.
Contribution
It identifies and corrects misconceptions in weak-value amplification theory, offering explicit counter-examples and clarifying the source of previous errors.
Findings
Misconception about the spectrum of confined particles corrected
Counter-example demonstrating arbitrary amplification
Identification of the source of previous errors
Abstract
First, a misconception about the spectrum of a confined particle is evidentiated. Then, the results are shown to be incorrect by means of a counter-example, an explicit preparation for the probe is given that yields an arbitrary amplification, and the source of the error is pointed out.
