N.N. Achasov, G.N. Shestakov

TL;DR
This paper investigates the properties of the f0(980) and a0(980) scalar mesons near their production thresholds in photon-photon collisions, emphasizing their potential four-quark structure and the feasibility of experimental measurements.
Contribution
It assesses the potential for measuring scalar meson contributions near thresholds in photon-photon reactions at current collider facilities.
Findings
Analysis of reaction thresholds for K+K- and K0K0bar production.
Evaluation of experimental feasibility at modern colliders.
Insights into the four-quark nature of scalar mesons.
Abstract
High-statistics data on the reactions and are the last missing link in investigations of the light scalar mesons and in photon-photon collisions. It is believed that and resonances exhibit their four-quark structure in these reactions in a vary peculiar way. The work estimates the feasibility of measurements of scalar contributions near and reaction thresholds at modern colliders.
