TL;DR
This paper presents a visualization of the boundary layer dynamics in turbulent Rayleigh-Benard convection using direct numerical simulation data.
Contribution
It provides detailed insights into boundary layer evolution in turbulent convection, which is less explored in prior studies.
Findings
Visualization of boundary layer velocity fields
Identification of boundary layer structures in turbulence
Enhanced understanding of boundary layer dynamics
Abstract
We present a fluid dynamics video which illustrates the dynamics of the velocity field in the boundary layer in a turbulent Rayleigh-Benard convection flow. The data are obtained from direct numerical simulation.
