Phase space factors for double-$\beta$ decay
J. Kotila, F. Iachello

TL;DR
This paper provides an improved and comprehensive calculation of phase space factors for both two-neutrino and neutrinoless double-beta decay, incorporating detailed electron wave functions and nuclear effects.
Contribution
It introduces a more accurate calculation method for phase space factors using exact Dirac wave functions with finite nuclear size and electron screening.
Findings
Enhanced accuracy in phase space factor calculations.
Includes detailed electron spectra and angular correlations.
Provides data useful for interpreting double-beta decay experiments.
Abstract
A complete and improved calculation of phase space factors (PSF) for and decay is presented. The calculation makes use of exact Dirac wave functions with finite nuclear size and electron screening and includes life-times, single and summed electron spectra, and angular electron correlations.
