TL;DR
This paper presents a novel derivation of ionic conductivity from steady electric current using three different methods: statistical analysis, entropy, and entropy production, providing new insights into the theoretical understanding of ionic transport.
Contribution
It introduces a new derivation of ionic conductivity from steady electric current employing entropy-based methods alongside traditional statistical analysis.
Findings
Derived ionic conductivity from steady electric current using three methods.
Established connections between entropy concepts and ionic transport.
Provided a unified framework for understanding ionic conductivity.
Abstract
It is known that the ionic conductivity can be obtained by using the diffusion constant and the Einstein relation. We derive it here by extracting it from the steady electric current which we calculate in three ways, using statistics analysis, an entropy method, and an entropy production approach.
