Contributes to understanding heavy quark production in pp collisions
Abstract
Results on open heavy-flavour production in p-p collisions at sqrt{s} = 7 and 2.76 TeV measured with ALICE at the LHC are presented. Open heavy flavour production is studied using semileptonic decays to electrons and muons and, for open charm states (D0, D+, D* and Ds) at central rapidity, also from exclusive hadronic decay channels.
