TL;DR
This paper develops a local multifractal formalism for analyzing functions, measures, or distributions with spatially or temporally varying multifractal properties, providing a flexible framework for such complex data.
Contribution
It introduces a novel local multifractal formalism applicable to functions, measures, or distributions with changing multifractal characteristics over time or space.
Findings
Formalism successfully applied to various examples
Framework captures local multifractal variations
Enhances analysis of complex multifractal data
Abstract
We introduce a local multifractal formalism adapted to functions, measures or distributions which display multifractal characteristics that can change with time, or location. We develop this formalism in a general framework and we work out several examples of measures and functions where this setting is relevant.
