Colour Fields of the Static Pentaquark System Computed in SU(3) Lattice QCD
Nuno Cardoso, Pedro Bicudo

TL;DR
This study uses SU(3) lattice QCD to analyze the colour fields of static pentaquark systems, revealing multi-Y-shaped flux tubes with junctions at Fermat-Steiner points, and compares these with flux tubes in tetraquarks and mesons.
Contribution
First detailed lattice QCD analysis of pentaquark colour fields showing flux tube structures and their relation to fundamental flux tubes.
Findings
Pentaquark flux tubes are well described by multi-Y-shaped flux tubes.
Flux tube junctions align with Fermat-Steiner points.
Pentaquark flux tubes match the profiles of fundamental flux tubes in other systems.
Abstract
We compute the colour fields of SU(3) lattice QCD created by static pentaquark systems, in a lattice at corresponding to a lattice spacing fm. We find that the pentaquark colour fields are well described by a multi-Y-type shaped flux tube. The flux tube junction points are compatible with Fermat-Steiner points minimizing the total flux tube length. We also compare the pentaquark flux tube profile with diquark-diantiquark central flux tube profile in the tetraquark and the quark-antiquark fundamental flux tube profile in the meson, and they match, thus showing that the pentaquark flux tubes are composed of fundamental flux tubes.
