Andreas Papaefstathiou, Li Lin Yang, Jos\'e Zurita

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the $b ar{b} W^+ W^-$ channel can be effectively used at the 14 TeV LHC with 600 fb$^{-1}$ to detect Higgs boson pairs and probe the Higgs self-coupling, using advanced jet and event reconstruction techniques.
Contribution
It introduces a novel analysis method employing jet substructure and event reconstruction to enhance Higgs pair detection in the $b ar{b} W^+ W^-$ channel at the LHC.
Findings
Strong evidence for Higgs pair production in this channel at 14 TeV with 600 fb$^{-1}$.
Improved sensitivity to the Higgs trilinear coupling $bb$.
Potential to better constrain the Higgs self-interaction.
Abstract
We consider Higgs boson pair production at the LHC in the channel, with subsequent decay of the pair into . Employing jet substructure and event reconstruction techniques, we show that strong evidence for this channel can be found at the 14 TeV LHC with 600 fb of integrated luminosity, thus improving the current reach for the production of Higgs boson pairs. This measurement will allow to probe the trilinear Higgs boson coupling .
