Xiu-Lei Ren, Lisheng Geng, Jie Meng

TL;DR
This paper investigates how finite-volume effects influence octet baryon masses by analyzing lattice QCD data with covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of finite-volume effects on octet baryon masses using covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory with recent lattice QCD results.
Findings
Finite-volume effects are significant for octet baryon masses.
The analysis improves understanding of lattice QCD results.
Results help refine baryon mass predictions in finite volumes.
Abstract
We report on a recent study of finite-volume effects on the lowest-lying octet baryon masses using the covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory up to next-to-leading order by analysing the latest lattice QCD results from the NPLQCD Collaboration.
