Luigi Delle Rose, Mirko Serino

TL;DR
This paper reviews the effective action involving a dilaton and Higgs in the Standard Model, focusing on the role of the dilatation current and its interpretation as a Nambu-Goldstone mode from broken dilatation symmetry.
Contribution
It provides a recent computation of the effective action in the neutral currents sector and discusses the dilatation current's role as a Nambu-Goldstone mode.
Findings
Effective action involving dilaton and Higgs analyzed.
Dilatation current acts as a Nambu-Goldstone mode.
Implications for anomalous breaking of dilatation symmetry.
Abstract
We overview the structure of the effective action involving a dilaton and a Higgs in the Standard Model, which has been computed recently for the neutral currents sector. We discuss the role of the dilatation current () and of an effective degree of freedom appearing in the correlator, with any neutral current, which can be interpreted as a Nambu-Goldstone mode generated by the anomalous breaking of the dilatation symmetry.
