TL;DR
This paper uses the AdS/CFT correspondence to study how a strongly-coupled plasma thermalizes and how a high-energy jet loses energy while passing through this evolving medium.
Contribution
It introduces a holographic approach to simultaneously analyze plasma thermalization and jet quenching in strongly-coupled systems.
Findings
Demonstrates the dynamics of thermalization in holographic models.
Provides insights into energy loss mechanisms of jets in a thermalizing medium.
Connects holographic thermalization with observable jet quenching phenomena.
Abstract
We employ the AdS/CFT correspondence to investigate the thermalization of the strongly-coupled plasma and the jet quenching of a hard probe traversing such a thermalizing medium.
