Search for D0 -> gamma gamma at BESIII
Hajime Muramatsu

TL;DR
This paper reports a search for the rare decay D0 -> gamma gamma using BESIII data, finding no significant signal and setting an upper limit on its branching ratio.
Contribution
First search for D0 -> gamma gamma at BESIII, establishing an upper limit on its branching ratio with a 2.9/fb data set.
Findings
No significant D0 -> gamma gamma signal observed
Upper limit on B(D0 -> gamma gamma)/B(D0 -> pi0 pi0) < 5.8×10^(-3) at 90% CL
Provides constraints for theoretical models of rare charm decays
Abstract
Based on the ~2.9/fb data set taken at the nominal mass of psi(3770), we report our preliminary result on a search for D0 -> gamma gamma. We find no significant signal and set an upper limit on B(D0 -> gamma gamma)/B(D0 -> pi0 pi0)<5.8*10^(-3) at 90% confidence level.
