It introduces the use of RG transformations to improve the efficiency and control of nuclear matter calculations based on chiral EFT interactions.
Findings
RG methods simplify nuclear matter calculations
Enhanced understanding of neutron star properties
Controlled approaches to nuclear equation of state
Abstract
We give an overview of recent results for the nuclear equation of state and properties of neutron stars based on microscopic two- and three-nucleon interactions derived within chiral effective field theory (EFT). It is demonstrated that the application of Renormalization Group (RG) transformations allows efficient, controlled and simplified calculations of nuclear matter.
