Thermodynamic Work Gain from Entanglement
Ken Funo, Yu Watanabe, Masahito Ueda

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that entanglement can be harnessed to extract additional thermodynamic work beyond classical correlations through measurement-based feedback control, with the work gain linked to changes in accessible mutual information.
Contribution
It introduces a method to utilize entanglement for enhanced thermodynamic work extraction, extending the understanding of quantum correlations in thermodynamics.
Findings
Entanglement enables work extraction beyond classical limits.
Work gain correlates with changes in mutual information.
Feedback control based on measurement exploits quantum correlations.
Abstract
We show that entanglement can be utilized to extract thermodynamic work beyond classical correlation via feedback control based on measurement on part of a composite system. The net work gain due to entanglement is determined by the change in the mutual information content between the subsystems that is accessible by the memory.
