TL;DR
This paper investigates how correlations in double parton densities, especially spin correlations, affect the differential cross section in double Drell-Yan processes, revealing potential impacts on decay plane correlations.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of spin and other correlations in double parton densities and their effects on observable quantities in double Drell-Yan processes.
Findings
Spin correlations can induce measurable correlations between decay planes.
Positivity constraints set upper limits on possible spin correlations.
Correlations influence the differential cross section in double parton interactions.
Abstract
In double parton interactions, the two hard proceses are correlated via double parton densities. We examine the double Drell-Yan process and the impact of such correlations on the differential cross section. In particular correlations between the spins of the interacting quarks can induce correlations between the decay planes of the vector bosons. We investigate upper limits on spin correlations following from positivity of the double parton densities.
