Determination of the number of J/$\psi$ events with J/$\psi$ \rightarrow decays
BESIII collaboration

TL;DR
This paper reports the precise determination of the number of J/ψ events collected by BESIII in 2009, crucial for subsequent physics analyses, with a detailed methodology based on inclusive decay events.
Contribution
It introduces a method to accurately count J/ψ events using inclusive decay channels, providing a key dataset for future studies.
Findings
Number of J/ψ events: (225.3 ± 2.8) million
Systematic uncertainty quantified, negligible statistical error
Method improves accuracy of event counting for J/ψ studies
Abstract
The number of events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII from June 12 to July 28, 2009 is determined to be using events, where the uncertainty is the systematic error and the statistical one is negligible.
