TL;DR
This paper investigates how a single universal extra dimension affects rare semileptonic Bc decays to D_s and D mesons, revealing potential new physics signals beyond the Standard Model.
Contribution
It introduces the effects of a single universal extra dimension on Bc decay observables, highlighting deviations from the Standard Model predictions.
Findings
Enhanced sensitivity of branching ratios to the extra dimension parameter
Altered polarization asymmetries indicating new physics effects
Potential experimental signatures for extra dimension effects
Abstract
The rare semileptonic decays are studied in the universal extra dimension with a single extra dimension scenario. The sensitivity of differential and total branching ratios, polarization asymmetries of final state leptons to the compactification parameter is presented, both for muon and tau decay channels. Comparing with the standard model, the obtained results indicate that there are new contributions to the physical observables. Considering the ability of available experiments, it would be useful to study these effects.
