5D SYM on 3D Sphere and 2D YM
Teruhiko Kawano, Nariaki Matsumiya

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that certain correlation functions in five-dimensional N=1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory on a 3D sphere are equivalent to those in 2D bosonic Yang-Mills theory, using localization techniques.
Contribution
It establishes a novel equivalence between 5D supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory and 2D bosonic Yang-Mills theory through localization.
Findings
Correlation functions match between 5D and 2D theories.
Localization technique proves the equivalence.
Simplifies analysis of 5D supersymmetric theories.
Abstract
It is shown by using localization that in five-dimensional N=1 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory on a three-dimensional sphere, correlation functions in a sector are identical to correlation functions in two-dimensional bosonic Yang-Mills theory.
